Saya is made of beech wood, a firm yet still soft enough wood, making it more durable and resistant than any leather sheath.Handmade wooden Saya is made for Petty knives, suitable for blades measuring to up to 150mm (5.9") in length, up to 39mm (1.5") in width and with a thickness of up to 3.5mm (0.14").PS: We made the hole for the safety pin about the same size as the width of the regular wooden chopsticks (you know, those cheap ones you get with your takeaway). In case you lose the safety pin, you can easily shorten the wooden chopstick and use it as a replacement.
