A sublime Nineteenth century Japanese vase by Makuzu Kozan. Signed by the revered ceramist Makuzu Kozan, this beautiful high-glazed porcelain vase depicts Peonies blooming amongst foilage and on a subtle lime green ground. Kozan was (and still is to this day) regarded as one of the finest artists of the late Nineteenth century and he was appointed artist to the Imperial household. The instantly recognisable painting makes this a highly collectable piece. Condition: Excellent.
