6x3 Cylinder Silicone Mold For Epoxy Resin - Woodturning & Deep Casti – Crafted Elements

This 6 diameter x 3 high cylinder mold is great for creating resin encased sculptures, flower bouquet preservation, small lamps and more. Large enough to embed flowers, action figures, wood and other small items into resin up to 3 tall and 6 wide. 

This mold is also frequently used to create raw woodturning blanks. Resin casting wood, or other material within this round silicone mold creates a perfect round blank for mounting on your lathe for turning.

Note that due to the stiffness of the silicone, demolding a piece of this height can be challenging. There are two ways to remove castings from this mold as peeling back the mold significantly will likely result in tearing.

1. Pouring distilled water between the cured resin piece and the interior wall of the mold and moving the water around the resin casting before trying to attempt to remove it from the mold. 

2. Using a compressed air hose with a soft (plastic or rubber) gun nozzle end. Insert your air gun in between the casting and the mold wall and scale up the air flow rate until the casting rises from the mold.
