Use Mr. Mark Softer and Mr. Mark Setter to apply dry transfer decals. This not only softens decals but also sticks with an adhesive component.  Apply a small amount to the position where the decal is to be stuck. Wait for a minute or so and press the decal lightly with a cloth, swab or the like to stick it.

This masking tape helps in the process allowing smooth and secure masking-off of curved lines where standard masking tape would sustain creases and possibly let paint seep underneath. This tape is in 3 separate widths to meet a variety of needs such as 2mm 3mm and 5mm respectively.
