This seal surface protector hardens and provides a tooth surface to paint on. The product gives an opaque matte white finish, is flexible, and water resistant when dry. For use with oil, acrylic and other painting mediums. Apply to a raw canvas; hardboard, paper, wood and other porous surfaces.
Increases viscosity to create an oil paint-like consistency that holds knife and brush marks. Increases surface gloss, color depth and transparency.
Liquitex Gloss Heavy Gel Medium
Liquitex Liquithick Thickening Gel is excellent for sculptural effects when a matte finish is desired. Gives the handling characteristics of oil or encaustic paint when added to water-based acrylic paints and mediums. Works great with opaque colors as it does not increase transparency or change the position of colors. Do not add more than 25% as there is no binder and it can weaken the stability of the paint film when too much is added.
