How do you deal with static cling?
By A Mystery Man Writer
Description
I feel like a commercial saying this, but I'm having a static cling problem. My dress is vintage, and I bought it because I loved the red stripe print, but the material keeps hugging my tights. The trend of wearing chiffony, silk and other flimsy material dresses in the colder months has been big on the runways--and believe me, I'd often rather wear this lightweight stuff than heavy, poundage-adding wool and tweeds--but in practice, it's often a static electricity nightmare. I've heard a few drops of water can help, except I feel like an idiot pouring Poland Spring onto my dress at work. Anyone else over looking like a bundle of cling? Oh, and after I took this picture I realized my dress is slightly see-through too. Eek! Maybe I should listen to my granny and invest in a slip, but I hate slips; they're so weird and old-fashioned. Next time I will try a black camisole and some darker tights. Faux pas on top of faux pas! This wasn't exactly the office-appropriate look I had in mind Anyone else feeling like a big Don't today? If not, what are you wearing? I need some inspiration--quick! --Jenny
