This is great for carrying a sleeping pad or any other gear you would like to strap to it. This option can also be used to compress the capacity of the pack when gear is not strapped into it. These straps are the same as our side compression straps. We will attach them to the bottom of your pack when we ship it to you, however, you can attach the straps anywhere you like on the pack as they are very modular. The straps are about 24" long and are adjustable on both ends. One set of webbing straps weighs .7oz. Shock cord straps weigh .4oz.
