I came to making pottery 5 years ago after spending over 25 years as a self taught folk art painter. Once I started playing in the mud, I was hooked, and now enjoy making functional and decorative stoneware and porcelain pottery which reflects the whimsy and colorful aesthetic of my images and the inspirations that I find in daily life such as the seasons, my cats, my garden and travel. As a fairly new potter, I am always studying and exploring new techniques and ways of making vessels as well as integrating my painting skills onto my pieces. It is my mission to create art and craft which inspires joy and happiness.
