Colored Felting Wool - Corriedale & Merino Roving Our soft wool roving comes from beautiful New Zealand sheep and has a good crimp, making it easy to work with. Perfect for needle felting, wet felting, hand spinning, hand felting, felt balls, felted acorns, soaps, macraweave, and many other craft uses. Approximate measurements: Corriedale: Microns: 25-30mic Fiber Length: 80-120mm Roving Width: ~1-2 inch Merino: Microns: 23mic Fiber Length: 75-80mm Top/Roving Width: ~1-2inch What is the difference between Corriedale and Merino? For needle felting, not much! They are both lovely to work with. Corriedale and Merino are different breeds of sheep and their wool has a slightly different crimp and feel.
